The iHMQ Recognition Scheme

The iHMQ developed the Individual Recognition Scheme in support of our aim of raising the status of professionalism in workplace health (promotion).

The Scheme provides individuals with the opportunity to gain recognition as an knowledgeable professional in the field of Workplace Health and Quality. The Scheme is referenced to the EVC Standards

Gaining recognition offers a number of benefits to the individual:

  • It provides recognition of commitment to professionalism workplace health and quality
  • It demonstrates that practice is aligned with European standards for WHP
  • It provides an indicator of professional identity for WHP practitioners,
  • It is a portable asset, that has European wide relevance and which is increasingly recognised by Employers and employers organisations, employee’s organisations, professional organisations and educational institutions
  • It facilitates participation in professional networks, including the discipline based networks.

iHMQ-ers also benefit from the Recognition Scheme which provides:

  • Supporting evidence of institutions’ commitment to quality enhancement
  • External demonstration of the alignment between institutional accredited organisations and high qualified professionals

Internationally the scheme provides of a growing body of evidence commitment to professionalisation and to raising the profile of WHP professionals to enhance the professional learning experience.
