Siemens Netherlands in early 2003 re-certified as "Model of Good Practice". First certification took place in 2000. Siemens Netherlands the one of the first Dutch companies with the European certificate. The recertification process is designed to see whether the institution is compliant and whether improvements are reached.Health is an integrated part of business and intranet, all information about health available to all employees. It aims to prevent and protect and promote the health of staff, is actively conducted, knowingly takes into account health effects (business) decisions concerning investments and new activities. In the implementation of health targets it sets for the absenteeism rate for the reduction of accidents in the business and private life and participation in the company fitness. Furthermore, the aim is to reduce the individual risk factors for cardiovascular disease and use of alcohol, drugs and medicines. Finally, there is in Siemens Nethersands a ban on  the use of carcinogenic and other hazardous substances and Siemens is active in programs for prevention of sexual harassment, aggression and workplace violence.
