The evidence presented by the members of the senior management team coupled with that gained from discussions with staff members indicates beyond doubt that the health and well being of staff is afforded a high priority by the organisation. This commitment is evidenced in a number of ways including the allocation of resources to health and well being, interpretation of the core values in ways that support staff e.g. human touch and openness, and the provision of services and interventions targeting life style related risk factors.
The Company has in place a comprehensive range of policies, procedures and guidelines addressing issues relating to the health and well being of staff. A strategic approach has been adopted by the company and this has led to such activities becoming rooted in the culture of the company.
The company strongly promotes the concept of worklife balance and has in place procedures to enable staff to work flexibly where this is appropriate. Special support is provided to staff at times when they may face a crisis or an emergency in their life outside work.
The Practice What You Preach programme provides a strong framework for health and well being activities within the company.
