Overijssel Province

The province of Overijssel are receiving the IHMQ certificate because they have a successful health management policy. This policy has an interdisciplinary focus involving the company physician, Human Resource Management, the Health and Safety (Arbo) commission and the works council. The province invests heavily in their employees through training and career planning. In return, employees are expected to have optimal commitment to their jobs and to engage in healthy behaviour. The results are clear: 78% of the employees have the opinion that the Province is a healthy organisation and 95% of the employees are highly satisfied withtheir jobs.

The workplace health promotion policy of the Province is well consolidated and seen as a structural investment. It is considered to be development process which requires continuous input and improvement. The health of employees is continuously emphasized and is a natural part of the planning and control cycle of the Province of Overijssel. Crucial in this whole approach is the special attention directed at employees.
